Global Recording Artist LIVEMULA reveals his #majorkey for success & more!

Pop the Moet & Chandon, roll up and vibe out to a requisite Hip Hop and Blues wave finessed by Brooklyn native, Live Mula.
Born Cecilio Devon Joseph, the 24-year-old rapper revisits the Boom Bap and Blues with a new generation twist consisting of smooth melodic flows over Hip Hop rhythms.
Hailing from Hip Hop jungle that produced legendary emcees, Live credits Jay-Z as one of his biggest musical influences.
“Aside from him being the great artist that he is, I admire him because I know where Jay-Z grew up. Marcy is not too far from my hood. To know that he came from the same situation, probably went through the same things I went through and is able to be the artist he is, I look at it like damn it’s definitely not impossible.”
But before the melodic flows and 808 beats, there was only singing and an old moniker, “FAME.”
“I grew up in a family who all sang in church- my grandfather, mother and aunt. I remember countless hours as a kid singing in the mirror with my cousin.”
However, by the age of 13, Live branched out into the streets, and got to know hip-hop on a whole new level. Drawn to casual Brooklyn street cyphers, he showcased his rap skills, and people soon took notice. Referring to him as a rising star, that’s when “FAME,” took center stage, but was later replaced by “Live Mula” in 2015.
After a yearlong stint in L.A. working with the likes of Tyrese, The Game, Tank, and Boi 1da, Live polished his flow, delivery, penmanship and style. Two years later, preparation met luck in a chance meeting with MBK CEO, Jeff Robinson. Live auditioned for him and was signed to Robinson’s MBK Entertainment roster the very next day.
“I held my composure while in there. I waited till I got outside then I ran laps around the building! That was one of the proudest moments of my life.”
