SHARING GOD'S WORD for TODAY

Praise the LORD. everybody, for this is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.  May we all enjoy His presence as we study His holy and powerful Word!

Welcome to New Direction's teaching ministry, Sharing God's Word for Today. All guests, listeners, and prayer warriors are indeed welcome.  I am your host and presenter, Dr, Loyce McCullough, pastor of New Direction Christian Fellowship, Stockton, California.

The subject for today's episode is, "As God's Child, I know Who I Am." The key verse is  from I Peter 2:9  which says, " But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood...God's own purhased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light."  That is who we are as born-again believers in Christ Jesus! 

We will emphasize, in this study, the awesome responsibility of being a part of the "royal priesthood".  The main purpose of a priest is to pray and to intercede on behalf of others, including neighborhoods, cities, schools and colleges, those who are sick and shut-in, those who are in hospitals, prisons, those who are persecuted, etc,  This particular position has not really taken seriously by many people in many churches.  But thanks be to God, many young people of all nations, are rising up to this calling from the Lord.
