Dr. Yana Dubinsky is a licensed Senior Clinical Psychologist and  Director of Internship Training of Primary Care Psychology Associates, LLC (PCPA). She received her master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and completed her Internship training at the Counseling Center of Baruch College, of the City University of New York. Prior to that she attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she completed a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Dr. Dubinsky has experience providing therapy to individuals and couples and she primarily works with adults and older adolescents.  Dr. Dubinsky is fluent in Russian.

 

Her therapeutic style is best described as integrative, utilizing the framework that she sees as most helpful to each individual or couple that she works with. She builds upon the foundation of interpersonal psychotherapy and integrates aspects of other approaches, primarily mindfulness (incorporating the mind and body connection) and cognitive behavioral psychotherapy. Her view is that the therapist/patient relationship is collaborative, with both therapist and patient working together to help understand the patient and the patients’ difficulties more clearly. Dr. Dubinsky recently completed a Certificate program in Primary Care Behavioral Health with The University of Massachusetts Medical School, Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. Dr. Dubinsky is recognized by the National Registry of Health Service Providers in Psychology.
