On this week's Into The Unknown Realm with Steve & Naomi we welcome back to the show former guest and new author, Katie Hopkins!

Katie Hopkins, a historian, paranormal researcher/investigator and long-time Cedar Rapids Citizen, will be releasing a book about her paranormal, spiritual and empathic journey. The book, “Seeing” Spirits: Opening the Empathic Door is being published by Haunted Road Media and will be for purchase on Amazon. It is set to release on February 27th, 2018. Katie Hopkins has always had a passion for history, especially the history of her home city of Cedar Rapids. She has ties with Brucemore Mansion as her Grandfather worked for Howard Hall, not only at Iowa Manufacturing, but also at the mansion. She has volunteered there in the past to hold onto the roots of her Grandfather and plans to continue her volunteering this spring as a tour guide. Hopkins’ first spirit encounter was when she was only 10 years old. This would continue throughout her life. Her love of history eventually brought her to work for the Grout Museum District in Waterloo while she was in college and shortly after graduating college. In the early months of 2012, Hopkins was given the responsibility to manage the Rensselaer Russell House Museum. She was in the home alone quite often and that is when she started to experience odd happenings. She would investigate the loud bangs upstairs, the glass moving on the kitchen table and even go running after voices she would hear in other rooms. Her first paranormal investigation was in February 2012 at the home. Her book is a compilation of all of her paranormal experiences that she has had over the last 20 years. She recalls experiences from investigations with her paranormal team, Unknown Darkness, and the way her empathic abilities have grown over the last six years with her team.
