         eCare Diary's Director of Events, Polly Whitehorn will speak to Gina Kaurich, certified Dementia Care practitioner and Executive Director of client services at FirstLight HomeCare that provides high-quality , non-medical in-home care and an engaging approach to dementia care for seniors.

 

       With more than 35 years of experience, Gina Kaurich is a registered nurse with an MBA, professional geriatric manager, certified Dementia Care Practitioner, and master coach and trainer in the healthcare field. In October 2010, she joined Midwest-based FirstLight HomeCare as executive director of client care services. In her position, Kaurich is responsible for the development and implementation of new initiatives related to client care. Since starting with the company, Gina has become a certified dementia practitioner and launched a specialized dementia program for the company, looking to offer a personalized engaging approach to dementia and Alzheimer care.

          Drawing heavily from her experience in the healthcare industry, Gina has established programs for seniors --- including restorative exercise courses and classes to assist individuals suffering from dementia and first and second stage Alzheimer’s --- to keep them healthy and well.
