Michael Maurice Smith was born into the professional wrestling business. His Dad is none other than Aurlean Smith Sr., AKA Grizzly Smith. His half brother and sister are none other than Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Rocking Robin. You would think that with a pedigree like that he would be an instant success. Instead, Smith, toiling under the name Sam Houston, worked in relative obscurity, known primarily as a jobber in WCW, WWF, GWF and USWA.
Much like his more famous half brother, Houston became involved with drugs and alcohol. Also like his famous half brother, he was able to clean up and sober up. He also became a staunch born again Christian and still does wrestling, but now with a more positive outlook than he has had throughout the previous years.
It is an honor to have this fine gentleman joining us tonight, we hope you will enjoy hearing his story as much as we will in allowing him to bring it
