The wrestling world woke to the sad news of the passing of one of the most legendary performers of our industry. Bruno Sammartino was a hero to the Italian American community and he gave back to it as well as to wrestling. Many only knew him from the magazines that our dear friend Bill Apter wrote and took photographs for. He was very close to Bruno and he is taking this very hard. When Steve spoke to Bill this morning he stated he would be issuing a statement later which we will play for you.
