"We created man from sounding clay from mud molded into shape; And the Jinn race We had created before from the fire of a scorching wind." (15: 26-27)

Abdullah b. Mas'ud reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: "There is none amongst you who is not an attached to a jinn. They (the Companions) said: Allah's Messenger, with you too? Thereupon he said: Yes, but Allah helps me against him and so I am safe from his mischief and he does not command me but for good."
