Chapter 97. Qadr  - The Night of Power

     1. We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the night of Power:

     2. And what will explain to thee what the Night of Power is?

     3. The Night of Power is better than a thousand Months.

     4. Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah's permission on every errand:

     5. Peace!... This until the rise of Morn!

"The Prophet (P.B.U.H) came out intending to tell us about Lailatul-Qadr, however two men were arguing and he said: “I came out to inform you about Lailatul-Qadr but so and so, and, so and so were arguing, so it was taken from me, and perhaps that is better for you, so seek it on the (twenty) ninth and (twenty) seventh and the (twenty) fifth.” (Bukhari)

The Prophet said, “Laylatul Qadr is a night that travels”.

So, it’s not the same Odd night in every Ramadan. Evenso, it is believed to be one of the odd nights of the last 10 days of Ramadan.  Though it is generally practiced in Jama’a on the 27th night of Ramadan.
