The audio quality of the live class portion drops out after 1:07:00 So I don't recommend spending time trying to hear it. Insha'Allah, we'll bring back the commentary during one of our other Broadcast. As to prior classes I believe we've found the conflict that makes the broadcast quality of the live portion poor and we shouldn't have a problem next week, insha'Allah.

Thank you for your patience, Faheem

The Medina Charter was created by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in the year 622 CE, it was the first written constitution in the Islamic world. The Medina Charter contained every aspect of running a country from politics to the human rights administration.

"It was in  Spain during the time of the  rule of the Moors in Spain from North Africa.  Under that rule for 500 yrs they enjoyed beautiful times.  They called it the Golden Age.  The Golden Age was the period when the Muslims of Spain had a  democratic, very democratic society; a very liberal society and government.  They had in their leadership, especially in  education and sciences, Jews working side by side with Muslims and Christians all worked side by side together.

No religious problem, they didn’t have a religious problem, they welcomed each other and respected each other.  Because of them the torch of their work for civilization was passed on to the West; to Rome, to England and eventually it came to America.  And what was that?  The Age of Enlightenment coming behind the Age of Darkness. The Age of Enlightenment was sparked by the cooperation of Muslim, Jews, Christians for progress in education and civilization working together." Imam W. D. Mohammed (ra) Cleveland, Ohio 12/19/99
