Jumu'ah Live: Yusuf and His 3 Shirts (Session 4)

3: 102 O you who have believed, Be conscious of Allah with the consciousness that is due to him and die not except as Muslims [in submission to Him].

The subject is still “Yusuf and His 3 Shirts” The focus today is "Taqwa, Sin and Death and The First Shirt".

The reason this is so important is because, Joseph’s shirt being stained with false blood is a metaphorical reference to the first time we experience the impact of acting against our own innocent nature (i.e., experience guilt). It also points to the historic error made by those who identified themselves as followers of Jesus Christ and wrongly concluded that the human being is born in sin and that the nature of the flesh is sinful.  There are serious and significant problems in the psyche of individuals and in the fabric of society due to the erroneous and misguided rituals and institutions born of that "false blood"

The truth is that sin is a part of the human condition but it isn’t a part of human nature.

Al-Islam is Allah's perfect favor which corrects the error and teaches the human being how to cope with and thrive in "the human condition".
