WC&P: Islamic Values In The Modern Economy part 2 (Conclusion)

The object of this khutbah is to demonstrate that there is and has been a shift in sources and possessors of power in the past century.  The time of a critical shift is already at work today.  The new shift favors certain people.  This shift also serves the plan of Allah for "those who believe and work right ."

1.  Different paradigms of history 

            Western: "Progress" Things are getting better and you can use material conditions to prove it and to measure it.

            Eastern: "Cycles" Everything is the same, it's simply repeating itself.

            Marxism: "Evolution to a Classless Society" (i.e., Moving fromFeudalism-Capitalism-Socialism-Classless Society)

            Evolution of the Will Of Allah:  Everything is becoming what Allah intends for it to be. (Holy Qur'an "Neither East Nor West;" "Come you together willing or unwilling!")
