ATH: "A Community's Life Depends On The Life Of Its Individuals"

"He requires nothing for Himself. The Quran says nothing reaches Him from us except our Taqwa, our obedience. Therefore, all of our worship, our prayers, our fasting this blessed month of Ramadan is for the benefit of the Muslim community, directly; to us as individuals and as a consequence of our improving our own spirituality and our obedience, getting closer to Allah ((swt)) in obedience, we have a better community, because individuals make a community. The community depends on its individuals. When the life of the individual is spoiled the community is spoiled.  When the life of the individual is kept good, the community is kept good." Imam Mohammed(ra)

Abu Huraira reported the Prophet, (pbuh), as telling:  “When G-d created the intelligence He told it to stand up and it did so, then told it to turn its back and it did so, then told it to turn its face and it did so, then told it to sit and it did so.  He then said, ‘I have created noting better, or more excellent or finer than you.  By you I shall receive, by you I shall give, by you I shall know, by you I shall reprove, by your reward will be gained and by opposing you punishment will be received.”
