18:     83. They ask thee concerning Zul-qarnain.  Say "I will rehearse to you something of his story."

          84. Verily We established his power on earth and We gave him the ways and the means to all ends.

The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: "Three things will be under the throne on the Day of Resurrection: The Qur'an which will contend with men, having an exoteric [expressed] and an esoteric [implied] meaning; the trust; and ties of relationship which will say, 'Allah, join those who joined me and sever those who severed me'!"
