"G-d wants us to become future oriented, if you understand the religion it wants us to become future oriented. The number one hope is that we will have a home in paradise after this world is finished as we know it. That is the hope of  all spiritual people or religious people of the Book, of Scripture and many others who are not of the Book or Scripture.  That is the hope, to have paradise one day, to be  free from the burden of this life.  A life that won’t bring all these burdens, a life that won’t be filled with all these miseries and confusion. 

So that is the  hope of the soul of man. The soul of all of us that is, when I say the soul of man and that is in the future,  it is not now, and you hope to qualify for it.  But it is in the future and so is the hope for Al Islam in this world’s life. It should always be a future goal of us no matter how much we progress, we should always be future oriented." Imam W. D. Mohammed(ra) Ramadan Session 2000
