On the history of the children of Israel…What is it?

If it is accepted that it originates in Abraham, then Abraham’s life began in his disagreement with his Idol-making father’s society. He was cast out and rejected by “his father’s society”. As a consequence, his life does begin in captivity, in being rejected without a home or a land, etc.

So, the story of the Jews is the story of a people who began as wanderers and as people who were not established but searching and seeking a way to establish their life.

But when you look at their reality, that’s just history from people who wrote their own story. But their story isn’t supported by what is actually in history. But when you look at us, our people sold us into slavery. History says that slave traders raided villages and brought us over here.

Our historic sense of mind alone can’t explain the outcome in our lives from that real history. But the design on our life points back to divine intervention.

Maybe when the Jews were writing their story, they thought they were writing their story. Maybe Allah said, “I will use your hand to write the story of a people who are going to need my intervention and I will help them.”

The Imam cites - HQ 2: 79. Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say: "This is from Allah" to traffic with it for a miserable price! Woe to them for what their hands do write and for the gain they make thereby.
