Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, then he will receive one good deed as ten good deeds like it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is one letter, but rather Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter, and Mim is a letter.”
Sohaib Saeed, Translator of “Tafsir Al-Kabir – The Great Exigesis (Fakhr Al-Din Al-Razi)
My father, the Shaykh and Imam ?iya? al-Din ?Umar (may God have mercy on him), used to say: ‘In every singular essence there are infinite types of evidence for the divine power, wisdom and mercy. This is because each atomic substance could be in an infinite number of alternative positions, and it could also have any of an infinite1 number of attributes. Each one of these permutations, if it should obtain, would demonstrate the need for the wise and merciful Creator.’ All of this goes to show that this field of enquiry is limitless.”
