“So, we are to understand that G_d created all of these physical pictures and objects to communicate to us the makeup of our own souls, spirituality and psyche understand it; because this [i.e., inner life]is the real life, not that out there, if we understand it; because this is the real life, not that out there. The human being’s spirituality cannot be separated from his intellect. Man’s spirituality with the help of his intellect engaged the world G_d made and put him in and it began to express its wants, its appetites and to give language and increase, in many forms, to the material world. Isn’t that wonderful? However, the human being cannot do it, except as Allah has willed for him to do it. So, he really does not know that his breathing into matter and giving language and forms that enable him to have a bigger and better material reality to house himself is really not his spirit, alone; but two spirits going to the purpose as if shot from one bow. It is G_d too, in him, going with his spirit to the purpose.  Consequently, though man marvels over this wonderful creation he has created by breathing into it of his (man’s) spirit, it was G_d’s Will that gave direction to his spirit until his spirit ran parallel with the Spirit of G_d and went to the purpose as two arrows fired by one bow.[1]”Note from P. 48-49 Here and Hereafter -
