“After we make sajdah .., the next step is to get up.  So it’s a sign of renewal, too.  Every time we make two sajdahs - one sajdah we come up and sit then we have to make a second sajdah.  Every time we make two sajdah, we have a renewal.  We either stand back up and continue the second rakat of our prayer or we finish with greetings and close out our prayer.  But it’s definitely a renewal. It’s like the sun rising and setting it’s like life and death, isn’t it? Its like the sun rising and setting life and death, but look how wonderful that death is if the meaning of sajdah is what we think it is, look how wonderful that death is, that death is a death to your own mind isn’t it?

You’re being reconciled again with the universal order of G’d, His creation His systemic world being reconciled with it again in our position, in our postures in our submission cause man is always submitting, he’s always submitting to somebody’s idea or to something, not that he doesn’t submit, he’s always submitting to his own ideas or somebody’s idea or to some influence but the best way to submit is the way Allah wants us to submit and when we submit that way we have a renewal of mind and we get in a situation to benefit the most from this life on this earth or from this existence in this cosmic order, or this creation.”  Imam W. D. Mohammed(ra)
