Salat is a maintenance program for the physical body which brings benefit and protects from harm by enhancing physical aspects of our anatomy. Physically Sajda benefits, The lower back, The postural neck muscles, The forearm and arm muscles, The toes, The Vertebral column and Spinal nerves, The Upper and lower spinal muscles, Abdominal muscles and The hip joint. 

In Sajda, the head is lower than the heart. So, it increases blood supply to the brain and stimulates the brain’s frontal cortex. This reduces the chances of brain hemorrhage and headache, helps to reduces high blood pressure. This surge in blood supply also has a positive effect on memory, concentration, psychological well-being and other cognitive abilities. A study investigating the alpha brain activity during prostration has reported increased amplitude in the parietal (Taste, Touch, Pressure, Body Awareness; Sense information) and occipital (Vision) regions suggestive of parasympathetic elevation, thus indicating a state of relaxation.
