Q. 89.27-30: Soul pleasing to Allah and to yourself
27. (To the righteous soul will be said) "O (thou) soul in (complete) rest and satisfaction!
28. "Come back thou to thy Lord well pleased (thyself) and
well-pleasing unto Him!
29. "Enter thou then among my Devotees!
30. "Yea enter thou my Heaven"!
“There is a surah in the Quran and a verse at the end of the surah it says, G-d saying, "O Soul pleased, return to your Lord." Really the first expression is not exactly pleased Mutma’innah is word the in the Quran, it means satisfied. It says, "Return to your Lord pleasing and pleased." And it also connects the soul with the paradise, the garden, it says, "Enter you My garden,". The word in Arabic is "Jannatee.," "Enter you My garden, enter you among My servants. In Arabic it is "Fee ebadee."
Then it says, "Enter you My paradise." So, this surah makes it very clear to us that the need in the human soul, the appetite, the hunger, the main surviving appetite stays there all the time, you die with it. And if you have a resurrection, you are resurrected still having that as your appetite, it is an eternal appetite. When we're talking remember “anything we say for the individual it is true for all of us taken together.” So, there is a collective soul, there is a plural member soul, all of us are in that soul, we're in that one soul."
