ATH: Imam W. D. Mohammed(ra) Islamic Convention 1999 Philadelphia

"I told the Imam that he want me to share with you Imam Darnell Karriem want me to share with you my concern for the coming convention 1999 September labor day we will en sha Allah be having the live broadcast or live telecast in Philadelphia this year in 1999.  The reason first before giving you the concern that we have for here Chicago area, I first want to give you the reasons why I asked that the city of Philadelphia be the place for this year for live telecast of our convention that means the speakers will go there, they don’t have to have it that way but I’m sure most of the speakers will be there with me in Philadelphia.  

Philadelphia the city that my father sent me to I was a minister in Chicago but I never was given the full responsibility for a congregation or a temple it was called back then until my father, our leader at that time, in those days the Hon. Elijah Muhammad may G’d forgive him his errors and his sins and give him paradise, asked me to go to Philadelphia he said I want you to go there we need a minister there.  So naturally I accepted and was very happy to accept, we were really better at obedience in those days then most of you all are now in these days, really we were."
