Truth is beyond the facts. Man can get some or even most of the facts but only Allah knows the Truth and he has to reveal it.

“The Einstein Case”

Einstein: Truth with and without “proof”; East Africa Expedition and Unified Field Theory

In 1919, Arthur Eddington's eclipse expedition confirmed the prediction of general relativity. After the success of the expedition and the confirmation of Einstein’s theory, Ilse Rosenthal-Schneider, his assistant at the time asked Einstein, "What would you have done had Eddington's eclipse measurements not supported general relativity".  Einstein replied,

"Then I would feel sorry for the good Lord. The theory is correct anyway."

Einstein believed and was correct regarding his predictions of his “Theory of General Relativity” Why because of the accuracy of his scientific and mathematical calculations. And the predictive power of science and math. As the Qur’an states “And the Sun and the Moon follow courses exactly computed”.  That is a part of the predictable aspects in the nature of creation - science and math. So, with a mastery of these sciences, he effectively predicted what would be found whenever and wherever the theory could tested in the “real world” and not just on paper.

So, with regard to his General Relativity Theory, he had scientific truth without material proof.

But such was not the case with his attempts to find a “Unified Field Theory”.
