3: 79. It is not (possible) that a man to whom is given the Book and Wisdom and the prophetic office should say to people: "Be ye my worshippers rather than Allah's; on the contrary (he would say): [Rabbaniyun]: "Be of those who are possessed of Command, Authority and Mastery in systems of knowledge by what you have been teaching of the Book and by what you are studying."

A man came to Prophet Mohammad (prayers and peace be upon him), then said: (the Arabic text):

One man fights for the spoils of war, another fights to win fame, and another fights to display his courage, which of them is fighting in the way of Allah? The Messenger of Allah, (Prayers and peace be upon him), said: The one who fights so that Allah’s Word (Kalimatullahi: Command, Agreement, Terms of the Contract with Allah; See 3:64; 3:104) be exalted, is the one who fights in the way of Allah.
