24:59 And when the children among you reach puberty, let them ask permission [at all times] as those before them have done. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses; and Allah is Knowing and Wise.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Teach your children to pray when they are seven years old and DRIBAHUM if they do not do so when they are ten years old, and separate them in their beds at that time.” Narrated by Ahmad, 6689; Abu Dawood, 495; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani.
