Abdul has also worked with over 40,000 physicians and healthcare organizations to integrate  and use electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively and to be in compliance with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) rules and regulations.

Professionally, he has years of experience helping physicians and healthcare organizations reduce insurance denials, streamline efficiency, improve third-party collections and enhance overall success.

As Abdul’s coding career advanced, he developed a strong passion to impart his knowledge and skills to other aspiring coders. As a result, for many years he has taught medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical billing and coding at Essex County College in New Jersey, and is currently a Professor at the City University of NY (CUNY).
