Dirk Nowitzki exploded in one of the most efficient and deadly basketball performances ever seen in the playoffs, Kevin Durant was no slouch himself, and the world was treated to a good old fashioned Western Conference shootout last night. The Mavs prevailed 121-112, an entertaining start to what is hopefully a long series.

Also, congrats were in order to the Cavaliers who were in a good news/bad news situation last night...Getting the top overall pick in the draft, and two picks in the top 4 was the good news, the fact that the most optimistic appraisals of the draft label it as "Dreadful" was the bad news. Still, good to see Cleveland get good news of any kind.
