Born in Halifax County, raised in Littleton, NC, Chanel Alston discovered her love for poetry. She began to write poems when she was thirteen-years-old. It wouldn’t be until she was 43 years-old that she would begin her journey as an author of the book entitled, All That We've Been Through.

With her passion to be happy and content in life and enjoying every minute, Chanel loves to document her life-changing events, sharing her words, her images, and her stories. Chanel has her support system - Her two adult children who are encouraging her on this new path in her life. She attributes her strength and knowledge over the years to her trials that developed the woman you see before you today.
