Nick Kisella was born and raised in the small New Jersey town of Manville, where he began writing fantasy and horror while still in high school. In his late teens his first short story was published in an Indie magazine called ‘Dreadknight’, followed by the newsletter ‘Brave New Tic’. Since then his work has appeared in various forms from print and online magazines to blogs. His first fantasy novel, ‘The Emerald and the Blade’ came out in 1989 by a long defunct publisher, with ‘The Chalice of Souls’ soon to follow by 3rd Millennium Publishing. Some of his most recent work includes a screenplay and novelization for ‘Nifty Entertainment’ a small California based production company, as well as getting the first two fantasy novels he wrote as a teen,‘The Chalice of Souls’ and ‘Death and the Doomweaver’ back in print for the sheer nostalgia of it. Always having an eventful life, he writes when time allows, usually after dark. ‘Morningstars’ is his first full-length horror novel.

Veteran B-movie horror actor Joel D. Wynkoop has long since been a favorite amongst fans of the humorous and the macabre. With a career spanning several decades, the characters he often portrays range from a demented masked madman in Wicked Games (1994) (V), who kills various people with beer cans and garden sprinklers, to a psychotic policeman in Dirty Cop No Donut (1999) (V), who spends his time terrorizing the local menace to society. While most of the films he appears in are shot on a shoestring budget, critics are almost always in agreement that they are more entertaining and imaginative than many of the larger horror films coming out of Hollywood.
