Sue Dent
Sue Dent’s publishing career began in 2005 when she self-published her debut novel Never Ceese before submitting her story to publishing houses. In 2006 Dent was picked up by the now defunct Journey Stone Creations. In that same year, Never Ceese made the Preliminary Ballot for Superior Achievement in a First Novel and was chosen Book Club Choice for the month of May at the American Christian Writers Association, the only general market horror book to ever be selected. She also went to Book Expo America with that publisher and signed over 400 books to give away to librarians and bookstores.
In 2009, and with her new publisher The Writers Café Press, Sue’s second novel Forever Richard made the 2009 Long-list at the British Fantasy Society. The review done by BFS reviewer Maryann Boo showed up in the BFS Prism magazine. When her second publisher went under, Sue joined forces with Black Bed Sheet Book owner Nicholas Grabowsky known for having penned Halloween IV.
Never Ceese went on to claim one of the top three spots in Yellow Sci-Fi’s Pluto Awards with Forever Richard making the long-list there as well. As a bonus, and much to Dent’s surprise, Never Ceese was voted #1 Best Christian Horr
