 Charles R. Pellegrino is an American explorer, writer and bestselling author of several books related to science and archaeology, including Return to Sodom and Gomorrah, Ghosts of the Titanic, To Hell and Back: The Last Train From Hiroshima, Unearthing Atlantis, and Ghosts of Vesuvius. Best known for inventing the "Jurassic Park Recipe" for biomorphing dinosaurs, which inspired Michael Crichton's book of the same name, Pellegino's bestseller Her Name, Titanic also inspired James Cameron's 1997 blockbuster hit TITANIC, and Pellegrino continues to serve as scientific advisor for the acclaimed director's forthcoming AVATAR sequels. Having visited the Titanic site in 1996 and 2001, Pellegrino is a veteran of marine archaeology with a trilogy of Titanic books to his name.
