Born and raised by her mother and grandmother in Houston, TX. Lorie Matthews is a wife and mother of two sons.
Lorie has a love for music, singing, modeling, and acting. She has held the position of Director of Music at her church Christ Worship Center. Doors and many privileges have come her way singing and recording with various groups and choirs. She has been an active choir member, choir director, sang on praise teams, and praise & worship leader. Lorie has had the opportunity to sing background for various recording artist such as Marvin Sapp, Byron Cage, Karen Clark Sheared, and Pattie Labelle. She has also recorded with Yolandra Simmons-Jones and Purpose, The Voices of Harvest (Harvest Time Church), Rock of Salvation Holiness Church Choir, Timothy Price & Destiny and Ed Johnson & Friends. Lorie is an enrolled student of Page Parkes Center of Modeling And Acting to get professional training to help pursue her career in acting. While at Page Parkes she completed course of Commercial On-Camera Acting and studied the Meisner Technique. She has performed in various theatrical productions “The Master’s Hand” (produced by: Debra Aboagye) “When Loving You Is Killing Me, I have to Stop” (produced by: Michael Washington), “The Other Side of Me” & “Overdose” (produced by: J. A. Smith). In keeping with her passion for the arts, she has assisted with filming a music video with Trinity Productions and Cinematographer assistance filming a trail for upcoming film for J. A. Smith Productions.
