This was Apostle Paul’s first letter to the young Thessalonian Church.

Paul had many pleasant memories of the days he spent with the young church (if they were a physical human baby they would be (called infants).

Their faith, hope, love, and (perseverance meaning determined or persistence) in the face of persecution are exemplary meaning Illustrated.

Paul’s labor as a spiritual parent to the fledgling (meaning undeveloped or immature, church

been richly rewarded, and his affection is visible in every line of his letter.

Paul encourages them to excel go higher in their newfound faith, to increase in their love for one another and rejoice, pray, and give thanks always. 

He closes his letter with instruction regarding the return of the Lord, whose advent or arrival signifies hope and comfort for the Believer both living and dead.
