Saul is dead and David can stop running for his life. He is hurt because Saul and all three of his sons died. He wrote a song about then because he loved Saul but God had a plan for David's life without Saul and Jonathan. Many times we love others but other don't love you. They person tolerates you for a season but if by chance the opportunity arise where they have a chance to allow love not to show up for you. The person never give it a second thought and you thought they loved you.If God had allowed Saul and Johnathan or the other two sons one day all four would have turned against David. Almighty God knows past, present, and future.
