The scripture says Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

The righteous suffer afflictions because they are so imperfectly righteous. They need purging, purifying, chastening, to rid them of the dross and defilement, The way of God is a suffering way his son suffered and died. The righteous will suffer in may ways. The Believer suufering is not in vain. Luke 17:25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. The thing the Believer must remember is he or she suffer for Christ's Sake only. There is a Great Reward one day.
