Stacie Smith was born in Washington DC. Her parents are still married. She has 2 brothers and one sister. Stacie had a very good childhood until her family had a tragedy when she was in 5th grade that she cares not to expose at this time. Both of her parents were born in North Carolina, which her family traveled to regularly while my grandparents were alive. Stacie replied, "We took a lot of family trips. We took cruises. We fished on my father's boat. When I was in high school there was a lot of different changes of course. Then in 2010 tragedy struck again I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Prior to finding out the diagnosis they thought I had a stroke. My whole left side of my body had went numb. Both Malachi and I were in and out of the hospital. He was dealing with asthma problems and I was dealing with learning how to live with him and MS.I started a Facebook page to raise awareness and it not just for people with MS. I get to meet some great people. We teach each other new things and support one another. MS is a terrible disease but it's not a death sentence and you can still have a life after your diagnosis. It takes strength, faith, positive mind set and a great support system."
