Michael Hait, CGSM  professional genealogist, has created a Genealogy at a Glance publication, African American Genealogy Research.  It is a very handy tool for quickly identifying record resources to use in documenting your ancestors. Whether you are researching at an archive, library, or online, this guide will help you hone in on specific record types.

Michael, the National African American Genealogy Research Examiner, specializes in Maryland research, African-American genealogy, and Civil War records.  Michael is the creator of THE FAMILY HISTORY RESEARCH TOOLKIT CD-ROM, published by Genealogical Publishing Co. in 2008.  He currently serves as the instructor of a course in African-American genealogy for the National Institute of Genealogical Studies, and as the coordinator of the resource library for the Lowcountry Africana project.

Please join host, Robin Foster, as we learn more about his guide and other great advice from Michael Hait.
