October is Family History Month!  We should all strive to learn about the personal contributions which our families have made to the history of this nation, and we need to share them. We need to also gain an appreciation for the contributions of others.

Sharing will help us overcome the differences within the family and within our communities. "We look to the family as an unwavering symbol of constancy that will help us discover a future of prosperity, promise, and potential,"  Family History Month legislation. "Interest in our personal family history transcends all cultural and religious affiliations." See:  Celebrating America's Diversity: Family History Month 2011.
