Slander is usually thought of as a false statement that is made about someone with malicious intent. It is damaging to one's character or reputation. Gossip, often carried out due to the plagues such as anger, jealousy, and arrogance betrays a confidence.Someone who thought another to be trustworthy finds that they've been wronged.
