Kelly Easter was raised in downtown Richmond, California. Although the neighborhood was heavily influenced by gangster rap, Kelly developed a love for every genre of music. His passion began at the age of eleven when his mother bought him his first drum set. Kelly continued to master the drums and began touring all over the country at the age of 19. He has plans to begin his own tour by the end of 2013.
Kelly is no stranger to the music industry, his Aunt Dorothy (Morrison) is the original singer and co-writer of Oh Happy Day and his cousin, Levi Caesar, was the lead guitarist for Prince for over a decade. Kelly’s goal was to deliver a collection that would easily fit in today’s playlists, and he was delighted when singles; “Dance Floor” and “Move My Body” were quickly added to rotation on The Ryan Seacrest Show Mix 101.1.
