Tanisha D. Harrell {T’Denay}, based in Atlanta, Georgia, fell in love with music as
young as a toddler. This wide-ranging songstress thought singing and talking
went hand-in-hand. Nothing solidified her love for singing more until she saw
the GREAT Whitney Houston perform at the 1989 Grammy Awards. The star
we know as T’Denay was created. She would sing wherever she could: church,
community events and more predominantly during her years at MLK Jr High
School.
T’Denay’s most influential music idols are Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey
followed by Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, and Patti Labelle---all powerhouse
voices. This eclectic songstress should never be placed in a genre box because
she can sing pretty much anything handed to her (pop, gospel, country, soul
and R&B). While she balances raising 2 inquisitive, strong boys; she takes the
time to develop her craft diligently. You may have seen T’Denay perform with
Enturaj Inc. (Part Time 2017), Cold Coffee the Band (Lead Singer 2018-2019), Soul
Food Atlanta (Aug 2019), and continues to sing since 2015 background for
Nubia Soul Goddess.
