Atlantic Beach is the "Black Pearl" in the Gullah/Geechee Nation. This resort town was founded by people of African descent with vision. It has been under attack for many years now and there are some that are looking to revitalize it and bring it back to its greatness within the Gullah/Geechee Nation and the Grand Strand.
