Gullah/Geechee Celebrations of Land, Legacy, and Ourstory

Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) is the host of "Gullah/Geechee Riddim Radio" on behalf of the Gullah/Geechee Sea Island Coalition (www.gullahgeechee.net).   On this episode, Queen Quet will discuss the sesquientennial of Robert Smalls taking of the Confederate ship, "The Planter" and the commemoration of that historic event.  She will also provide details on "De Gullah/Geechee Land & Sea" heirs property workshop and celebration of the Gullah/Geechee Fishing Association that will be held at Hunting Island on Saturday, May 19th and the 2012 Gullah Festival activities that are fast approaching!
