Gullah/Geechee Nation Appreciation Week 2012

On this episode of "Gullah/Geechee Riddim Radio" sponsored by the Gullah/Geechee Sea Island Coalition (www.gullahgeechee.net), Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) will have a number of the presenters for the "Gullah/Geechee Nation International Music & Movement Festival™ 2012" on the air.   They will discuss the "Gullah/Geechee Nation Appreciation Week 2012" (July 29-August 5) events.

Queen Quet will also bring updates on the stopping of destructionment on the Sea Islands of South Carolina, especially those in Charleston County, SC.  Johns and James Islands and the Town of Mt. Pleasant are currently being hit from all sides with new projects that would severely harm the Gullah/Geechee communities.  Tune in to learn how you can take part in assisting with the efforts under way.
