Stormy Start to #GullahGeechee Cultural Heritage Awareness Month

Tune in as Queen Quet (www.QueenQuet.com) comes to you live from the Gullah/Geechee Nation in the midst of Hurricane Matthew preparation.  This special broadcast of "Gullah/Geechee Riddim Radio" also launches the online celebration of "Gullah/Geechee Cultural Heritage Awareness Month."   The entire Gullah/Geechee Nation's coast is currently under a state of emergency and some areas have evacuations underway as Hurricane Matthew makes it way through the Caribbean to Florida and then parallels the Gullah/Geechee Nation's coast line.  Queen Quet will discuss the Gullah/Geechee survival story and the preparation for the storms.
