Gullah/Geechee: Resistance and Reality

Tune in to the closing episode for Gullah/Geechee Cultural Heritage Awareness Month 2017.  On this broadcast, Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation and hostess of Gullah/Geechee Riddim Radio will focus on "Gullah/Geechee: Reality and Resistance."   There have been on-going issues in regard to people of African descent standing up for their rights from the time of chattle enslavement to the present.  Queen Quet will address some of the resistance of Gullah/Geechees that has been documented over the decades and the current realities of continued resistance to assimilation.
