In Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians, he addresses “a house divided,” especially in the first four chapters. In 1 Corinthians 1:10-18, he begins to confront this problem. Sometimes, we have to hunt for what Paul means. Yet, he lays out what he desires the Corinthians to do in his very first verse, in 1 Corinthians 1:10, “Now I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you be in agreement and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same purpose
