"Farmer 2 Farmer: Liberia at the Crossroads" - Pryde Bass

In 2005 Pryde Bass launched the, "Third World RadioShow" to expose the American public to the rich African Culture through music and interviews with other Africans sharng thier unique insights. In 2008 Mr. Bass created a business plan to contribute to Liberia's development after 14 years of a brutal cival war that destroyed everything, including the hopes and dreams of the masses. Searchng for a way to address the county's various pressing needs, Mr. Bass observed that farming in Liberia is only done on a meager scale. Liberia imports more food and other basic items than they produce. His plan is to form relationships between American farmers and Liberian farmers. American farmers with outdated farm equiptment that can be reconditioned would donate them to Liberian farmers with the aim being to train and assist Liberia in becoming less reliant on imports, as well as training and rebuilding a country still recovering from the ravages of war.
