Tony Glausi is a young man - and conveys his sense of Jazz, etc. in a way that is definitely not your Daddy's. But there is history in his playing, his voice, his writing. Part Chet Baker, part Pavarotti, part Brian Wilson during his "Good Vibrations" days - there is WAY more to defining Tony that saying he's a trumpeter based in New York. Old Soul has been used - possibly too much. But the combination of contemporary styling and ageless sentiment has to be stressed. Did I mention unique?

Originally from Portland and raised within a musical family, Tony was on the piano as a child. At ten, he was playing trumpet and composing. The inspirations that fueled him? Incredible, actually. Aretha, Tracy Chapman, Queen, Stevie Wonder - and Chet Baker. You WILL hear that in his presentation.

He has amassed quite the trophies through the years. National and International Trumpet Competition Winner, the Caruso International Jazz Solo Competition. A coveted honor - the recipient of the Laurie Frink Career Grant - an award given every other year to a young brass player in honor of Laurie's legacy.

This man isn't 30 yet - and he has toured, taught, created and performed with an array of other gifted artists - who value his imput as much as anyone twice his age. Respected publications have noted Tony's improvised solos and compositions - which heralded, seasoned musicians have heard. The buzz regarding our guest is in circles that most would envy.

Credit for this interview must be mentioned. Chart Room Media is handling much of Tony's ENHANCED buzz concerning  "When It All Comes Crashing Down." A dazzling display of freedom that is not confined to one genre. You have to be ready for the three chapters within this album. There is NO LET UP in the dizzying ride that you'll take.

Enjoy this journey with us - 2/2/2021. Music at 11 a.m. Eastern. Tony at Noon.
