Pastor Clarissa talks with Rev. Kanisha Adkins about her journey, as a woman in ministry.  Rev. Kanisha shares her salvation experience and the decision to surrender to the call to preach.  During this interview, Rev. Rev. Dr. Kanisha L. Adkins is a dynamic preacher, a talented and prolific writer, and a published author. She has earned several terminal degrees including a Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond, School of Law, a Master of Divinity from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University and a Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her education and training in the legal profession have allowed her to work for various agencies of the Commonwealth of Virginia. She has also worked as a clinical counselor and has been actively involved in ordained ministry for over 20 years. She considers herself to be a “Professional Hybrid” and uses a "hybrid" approach, drawing from legal, ministerial and clinical viewpoints, to educate, empower and encourage.
